Winter activities
This weekend is going to be a fantastic time to visit the Northwoods for winter sports!
It all starts with two days of fun on ice
in St. Germain for the Radar Runs on
Little St. Germain lake, February 3rd
and 4th. There will be multiple
snowmobile races throughout both
days, with prizes to be awarded
for the winners. This event will also
feature music and vendors all day long.

If you are looking for a more peaceful way to spend Saturday, February 4th, you can enjoy ice
fishing in Conover. The 7th Annual Volunteer Fire and Rescue Ice Fishing Classic begins at 7 am
at Pioneer Lake. This event is sure to be a day of fun with food, beverages, and drawings,
and also prizes for the largest fish caught in the different categories. You can find out more

Saturday and Sunday if you head a little further north to Land O’ Lakes, they will be hosting their annual Three Bear Sled Dog Races. These very exciting races start at 10am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday. The day also includes a craft fair, ice skating at the Snowflake Ice Skating Rink, the Fido Fashion Show, a horse-drawn shuttle, as well as other things.
And Saturday evening ends with the Musher’s Ball, with live music and dancing held at Gateway Lodge from 8pm until midnight. For more information, please click HERE.
And last, but certainly not least, the Tara Lila 6th Annual Snowshoe Celebration is happening on Saturday from Noon until 9pm beginning at 7550 Ripco Rd in Eagle River. There will be food sales from 1:00 until 7:00, and the day will feature guided snowshoe tours, campfires, and the chance to win prizes. One of the day’s highlights will be the candlelight snowshoe at dusk. You won’t want to miss it! More details can be found HERE.
