As winter comes to a close and spring is around the corner, there becomes new activities to enjoy in the Northwoods, like hiking the trails. Nothing feels better than spending a quiet day recharging your batteries in the peace and beauty of nature. An especially enjoyable activity during a hike is bird-watching. Wisconsin has an impressive amount of different species to look for. It is fun to find out which bird you are seeing, and mark down the different ones you find on your hike. The DNR offers a checklist of birds here. Another helpful resource can be found here.
If bird-watching is not your ideal activity, spend your day hiking by beautiful Bond Falls. Just 45 minutes north of Eagle River, the hike by the falls is breathtaking any time of year. So make plans to go! You will be so glad you did!
Here you can see Bond Falls during two different seasons- both amazing!
No matter where the trails lead you during the day, let them lead you to the Hiawatha for the night, and let us be your home during your Northwoods adventure!
